PRÉFACE

Il y en a sûrement de plus anciens, mais on ne les a pas encore retrouvés : du coup, on considère que les premiers dessins des hommes sont ceux qui ornent les parois des grottes sombres de l’Ardèche. Admettons. Ensuite, on trouve la décoration des Pyramides, des femmes de profil qui ressemblent toutes à Cléopâtre. Un peu plus tard, à Rome, des mosaïques et des fresques, très jolies, du genre que vous aimeriez voir dans votre salle de bains. Au Moyen-Âge, pas grand-chose, les châteaux étaient trop mal chauffés. Par contre, à la Renaissance, ça barbouille dans tous les coins, du sol au plafond et même sur des toiles, naissance du tableau. Les siècles passent, on peint, on dessine, on sculpte, on y passe beaucoup de temps et pas mal de matière. Heureusement apparaît la photographie qui démoralise la plupart des recopieurs des beautés de la nature. Certains résistent le pinceau à la main, inventent l’art abstrait. Pourquoi pas. Mais enfin, le sommet du génie humain et de son sens artistique est atteint lors de l’apparition de la confrérie des graphistes. Celui que nous venons de capturer a choisi par discrétion le pseudonyme facilement mémorisable de Johann Hierholzer, ne nous demandez pas comment ça se prononce, alors que son nom véritable est Léonard de Rembrandt. Ce site présente quelques-unes de ses œuvres : grande est notre chance car sa modestie le pousse à repousser les offres des plus grands musées de sa rue. On ne se refait pas. Bonne visite.

PRÉSENTATION 

Graphiste basé à Allauch (France) et travaillant la plupart du temps dans le domaine culturel (théâtre, musique, arts de la rue, cirque, réseaux nationaux ou télévision).

Né de parents plasticiens, j’ai naturellement orienté mes travaux autour du dessin et de la maquette. Avec l’illustration, on peut tout faire, tout inventer, et développer à l’infini l’univers d’un artiste en cours de création. Après m’être heurté à des réticences du milieu culturel dans lequel j’évolue — la bande dessinée étant parfois considérée comme le parent pauvre de la création artistique — j’ai opté pour aquareller la ligne claire de mes dessins, donnant parfois un aspect photographique voire abstrait, pour une proposition plus poétique. De fait, cela m’a permis de trouver « mon style BD ». Frustré par le carcan d’un langage retenu imposé aux travaux que je réalise en tant que graphiste, et me rappelant mes rêves d’adolescent, j’ai commencé l’aventure libératrice d’une « vraie » bande dessinée : « Le Perroquet ».

PREFACE

There are surely more ancient, but we haven’t yet found them : anyway, we consider that the first drawings of man are those that decorate the walls of the dark caves in the Ardèche. Then, we have the decoration of the pyramids, women with profiles resembling that of Cleopatra. A little later in Rome, mosaics and frescos, very nice, the kind you like to admire in your bathroom. In the middle ages, not much happened, the castles were badly heated. But, in the Renaissance, there was a bit of painting everywhere, from the ground to the ceiling, and even on canvasses, hence the birth of the painting. Centuries passed, we pained, we drew, we sculpted, and we spent and used a lot of time and matter. Luckily, the photography arrived which demoralised most of those who copied the beauties of nature. Certain resisted the hand to the brush, and abstract art was invented. Why not. And at last, the peak of human genius and his artistic sense was achieved with the appearance of the brotherhood of the graphic artist. One we have just captured, has chosen through discretion the pseudo name of Johann Hierholzer, and don’t ask us how it is pronounced, even though his real name is Léonard de Rembrandt. This site presents some of his work : we are very lucky as his modesty pushes him to turn down offers from the biggest museums in his street. We never change. Have a good visit.

PRESENTATION

Graphic designer based in Allauch (France) and working mostly in the cultural field (theater, music, street arts, circus, national networks or television).

Born of parents plastic artist, I naturally oriented my work around the drawing and the model. With illustration, you can do everything, invent everything, and infinitely develop the universe of an artist being created. After having encountered reluctance from the cultural environment in which I evolve – comics being sometimes considered as the poor relation of artistic creation – I opted to watercolor the clear line of my drawings, sometimes giving a photographic aspect even abstract, for a more poetic proposition. In fact, it allowed me to find «my comic style». Frustrated by the constraint of a restrained language imposed on the work that I realize as a graphic designer, and remembering my teenage dreams, I started the liberating adventure of a «real» comic book : « Le Perroquet ».
